Tree Cabling

Sometimes it is about preservation, and this is where we really shine! Greentopps arborists strive to preserve and protect the trees within our communities, and one way we can do that is through a method called “tree cabling.” This method of tree conservation helps to prevent the removal of otherwise healthy, mature trees as a result of limbs growing in a manner that is hazardous.

Cables can be installed to pull branches together in an effort to take stress off of the tree’s main trunk. Some examples of when cabling could be useful are: when a trunk is splitting with two large co-dominant branches, if a tree’s limb is growing at an awkward angle posing a threat to property or passers-by, or to maintain the vigor and appearance of a mature tree that is otherwise healthy.
